A few favorites to share.....

Houston's first kiss from one Miss Ruby Kate Sample. He has seemed to get one of these the last few times we have visisted. It has been awesome to share the experience of pregnancy, labor, and mommying at the exact same time as one of your best friends. We named our kiddos on a scrapbook weekend with another best friend Christine at the cabin in Hardy. Hugh and I were set on Houston (Stacy came up with that) and we went with James at the very end in honor of my grandfather. We had the same labor and delivery nurse, Dana. No similarities regarding the birthing process but that story is not for young ears or impressionable minds. Our kiddos are only 5 days apart. We will have to keep a close eye on these 2.

This one is one of my favorite Easter pictures. It was cool out that day, I mean bundle up cold. So we sat you outside for less than 5 minutes and snapped some adorable pictures. I was suprised this outfit passed Hugh's inspection. He's a manly man-no girly outfits for him. But I was able to talk him in to this cute plaid for his first Easter. Love those brown eyes!

I know I was excited to get to experience our first snow together. But, obviously Houston had a different idea in mind. We played at home in January when we got a little snow, but this big one in March was for the birds as far as he was concerned. There was not one smile or one happy moment until we were back inside. Looking back this picture reminds me of the brother in the "Christmas Story" movie where he was bundled up so much he couldn't sit up. Poor thing. He just wants him momma and to be upright.

We have a walker! And not just his name. Houston is full fledged walking now-all the way from the living room to the kitchen and back without stopping. He can turn around, but bending over and picking things up are still hard for him. He loves anything with wheels he can push-this little walker, his magic school bus, the luggage cart in hotels. If it has wheels, he's gonna roll it. I'm sure the fun is just beginning.

Awe... sweet kisses. I just hope she slows down with the PDA before she becomes a teenager! About your delivery story... I still feel badly that the last thing I said to you as we were leaving Marble Slab and you were off to give birth the next morning was "I'll be fine"... I wish everyone had my birthing experiences...
